YAAS: YOUNG ARTISTS AND AUTHORS SHOWCASE

2025 Theme: Announcement October 2024

What is YAAS?

Each year, the Young Artists and Authors Showcase encourages local students and students from our Sister Cities to express the mission of Sister Cities International through original artwork and literature. 


We've had an international art winner, a written piece place, and an art piece chosen to be the logo of the annual international convention!

About This Years Theme

The theme is typically announced in October of the previous year. So, come October 2024, we will be aware of the theme.

Previous winners from YAAS 2023

Who Can Enter?

Any student living in the Greater Boynton Beach, Florida area between the ages of 13 - 18 can enter. We will also take submissions from our international Sister Cities.


Art can include several mediums and each medium has a chance to win. Mediums vary from canvas art, to music, to written word.


Selected Grand Prize Winners in each category (art, literature, poetry, photography and music) win a $1000 prize while second place winners receive $250 and third place winners receive $100. After the winners have been announced, their works are displayed on the Sister Cities International website. More details including application coming soon.

  • Must live in or attend school in the Greater Boynton Beach area or be within our international Sister Cities limits.
  • Each student must be between 13 and 18 years of age.
  • All art must be submitted by Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
  • Submit all art as a digital version to  BoyntonSisterCities@gmail.com
